Short Biography

Elijah Ramsey III is a principal investigator of terrestrial and coastal ocean remote sensing and image processing in the U. S. Geological Survey, National Wetlands Research Center, Lafayette, Louisiana.  He received his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Oregon, his M.S. in Geophysical Sciences from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, and his Ph.D. from the Department of Geography at the University of South Carolina.  In addition to completing graduate studies, he was a Research Project Manager in the Departments of Geography and Civil Engineering.

Elijah Ramsey III is a principal investigator of terrestrial and coastal ocean remote sensing and image processing in the U. S. Geological Survey, National Wetlands Research Center, Lafayette, Louisiana.  His research specializes in Applied and Theoretical Remote Sensing and GIS, Environmental Chemistry and Water Quality, Coastal Processes and Coastal Morphology, Oceanography and Hydrology, and Programming and Statistical Analysis.
