Short Biography

          Lenny Konikow received a B.A. in geology from Hofstra University, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Penn State University.  He worked for the U.S. Geological Survey from1971-2013; he is now an Emeritus Scientist.  His research interests include the development and application of solute-transport models to groundwater problems and the assessment of groundwater depletion.  He is an AGU Fellow and has received the O.E. Meinzer Award from the Geological Society of America. He was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2015.
