Botany, plant ecology, pollination ecology, prairie restoration. Allain's research involves ecology and vegetation characteristics of coastal prairie. Research emphasis is on restoration and rehabilitation of coastal prairie. Additional research interests include including fire effects and impacts of ivasion by exotic species in coastal prairie.
